CEHD Student Licensure and Certification Exam Fund

The CEHD Student Licensure/Certification Test Fee Fund was established in 2023 by a consortium fundraising effort of the College of Education and Human Development to support CEHD students with the cost of professional licensing and certification fees so they may be fully licensed/certified at the time of their graduation from George Mason University.

In order to be eligible for this award, students must:

  • Be enrolled part-time or full-time in a CEHD academic program
  • Meet requirements for good academic standing with the university (minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduate students and a 3.0 GPA for graduate students)
  • Have demonstrated financial need based on the FAFSA
  • Be required to complete state-level or national licensure or certification exams for their intended professional field/career path (these funds support tests that are required for career pathway, not optional or supplementary)

Students can only receive funding support one time for each test

This application is for students who are committed to registering for tests related to licensure and certification in their professional field between the months of January 2024 and August 2024 only. You can request funding for multiple tests in this application, but all tests must be taken between the months of January 2024 and August 2024 (the spring ‘24 and summer ‘24 semesters). If you intend to register for tests in a later semester, please do not request funding for those tests in this application. You can apply for funding for those tests at a later time when the application opens for their respective semester. Recipients may be required to submit proof that they registered for a test during the funding period for which they applied.
