John M. and Nan W. Sherwood Endowed Scholarship

The John M. and Nan W. Sherwood Endowed Scholarship was established in 1997 by Mr. and Mrs. John M. Sherwood to provide scholarships to Virginia residents, with at least one scholarship awarded to a student from Southwestern Virginia and one to a student from Northern Virginia. Mr. Sherwood is a former banking executive. Nan Wolfe Sherwood was an educator. Applicants must have been a resident of Virginia for at least 4 years and should have a 3.0 or greater GPA with documented financial need.
