The General & Conditional Applications for the 2020-2021 Award Year Now Closed!
The General Scholarship Application automatically matches current Mason students (undergraduates, graduates, and admitted transfers) with scholarship opportunities based on their Mason student academic record. The General Scholarship Application includes both merit-based and financial need-based scholarships. Consideration for need-based scholarships requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Needs Assessment (ANA) Form submitted to the financial aid office by Mason’s FAFSA priority filing deadline of January 15, but no later the General Scholarship Application close date of May 31, 2020.

Recommended or Apply-to Opportunities
Consideration for any opportunity requires completion of the General Application. After completing the General Application, applicants may be directed to a Conditional Application or the Recommended Opportunities page. Conditional Applications and Recommend Opportunities require a student to complete additional questions. Before the application deadline, students may receive a reminder email to their Mason email address prompting them to complete an application in draft status.

Current Students
The General Scholarship Application for continuing undergraduates, graduates, and admitted transfers with a Mason GPA. Students may apply to scholarship opportunities offered through the Office of Student Financial Aid, college, or departments. Some graduate programs may use this application for incoming graduate students. All graduate students are encouraged to check within their department regarding assistantships, fellowships, and scholarship opportunities.
