John C. and Louise P. Wood Alumni Endowed Scholarship

The John C. and Louise P. Wood Endowed Scholarship was established in 1974 by the Honorable John C. Wood and his wife, Louise Parrish Wood, and later augmented through memorial gifts and the George Mason University Alumni Association in recognition of the Woods’ contributions to the university and the community. The fund supports scholarships for full-time undergraduate and graduate students who have overcome obstacles in pursuit of their education and achieved academic distinction. Mr. Wood, an attorney, was the first chair of the George Mason University Foundation and the first rector of the university.
