Jeremy Lee Starns Memorial Scholarship

The Jeremy Lee Starns Memorial Scholarship was established in 1994 by members of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, family and friends to provide scholarship support to full-time, undergraduate students at the University and to help remember and honor Jeremy Lee Starns. Recipients may be in-state or out-of-state students. Applicants will be selected based on academic merit and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 from the prior full-time semester. Applicants must be an active member in good standing in a registered student organization of the University. Applicants must submit an essay discussing how they have overcome an obstacle in their life. This scholarship is renewable.

Jeremy Lee Starns passed away during his sophomore year at George Mason University. The group of friends who established this scholarship work year-round to ensure his memory lives on in perpetuity through this endowment and to be a benefit to the whole University community.
