Sentara Scholars

The Sentara Scholars scholarship was established in 2022 by Sentra Healthcare to maximize Sentara’s impact at partner institutions while helping to create a diverse and highly skilled workforce pipeline in the healthcare and healthcare-related fields. Students must be an in-state resident. Students must be enrolled in a healthcare or healthcare-related undergraduate or professional degree or certificate program during the award distribution period. Recipients must be in Good Academic Standing as determined by the Office of Financial Aid, and in compliance with the institution’s Student Code of Conduct. Applicants must have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. In addition to direct applicants through the Office of Financial Aid, recommendations for student recipients can be made by deans, chancellors, department chairs and student success leadership.
