Winant Endowed Scholarship

The Winant Endowed Scholarship was established in 2018 to provide scholarship support for graduate students in the College of Education and Human Development who intend to pursue a career providing assistance to children with intellectual or developmental disabilities in underserved communities. Recipients must have demonstrated a willingness and ability to assist children in underserved communities, preferably non-English speaking communities, who suffer from intellectual or developmental disabilities such as autism. Established in the year 2000 by John and Jane Winant, the Winant Fund was founded to support relief of the poor, the distressed, and the underprivileged, especially children; elimination of prejudice and discrimination; and prevention of cruelty to children and animals.
