James H. and Margaret R. Pickford Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The James H. and Margaret R. Pickford Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 1999 by multiple donors and the Northern Virginia Regional Commission to honor James Pickford, who was a chairman of the commission, and his wife, Margaret Rutherford Pickford. The fund benefits students in civil and infrastructure engineering or public administration with significant need for financial assistance, without which the individual would find it difficult to attend George Mason University. Applicants must be residents of Northern Virginia or have a demonstrated interest in remaining in the area upon graduation. Preference will be given to freshman and graduate students.
