Howard Ruben Bloch Endowed Scholarship and Award

The Howard Ruben Bloch Endowed Scholarship and Award was established in 2001 in memory of Dr. Howard R. Bloch by his wife, Doris Bloch, and others, to honor his legacy of commitment to teaching and dedication to his students and the George Mason community. Dr. Bloch was a faculty member and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Economics.

Scholarship and award recipients must be enrolled full-time, must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in economics, may be in-state or out-of-state residents, and will qualify on the basis of academic merit and financial need. This scholarship is renewable. In addition to the criteria already mentioned, a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for renewal.
