The 2019-2020 General Scholarship Application will open February 1, 2019, and close April 30, 2019.
The General Scholarship Application automatically matches students with scholarship opportunities based on their application and Mason student record. The General Application includes both merit-based and financial need-based scholarships. Consideration for need-based scholarships requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Needs Assessment Form submitted to the financial aid office no later than January 15.

Recommend Opportunities may require a student to complete additional questions. Students will receive a confirmation email to their Mason email address. Applications deadlines may vary.
The General Scholarship Application open to continuing undergraduates and admitted transfers with Mason GPA. Students may apply to scholarship opportunities offered through the Office of Student Financial Aid and/or various departments. Graduate students encouraged to check within their department regarding assistantships, fellowships and scholarships opportunities. Many graduate programs offer these awards through the student’s graduate admission application into their programs.
To access the online application, students must use their Patriot Pass log in credentials (NetID username and password) click on the Sign In button in the top right-hand corner of the page.
• Some departmental scholarships require resumes and/or other documents. Please ensure ample time for additional documents to be completed and submitted by the scholarship deadline
• We recommend typing your essays in a word or text to take advantage of spell check and word count. Once you are done, just copy and paste your text into the application.
Notification of Mason internal scholarships begins mid-June and continues through August. Only students selected for the award will receive an official letter via email from the department or award committee. Students may view their awards on Patriot Web in the Financial Aid Awards section.
